George Feldenkreis

George Feldenkreis, chairman and CEO, is the visionary who leads Perry Ellis International. Born in 1935 in Havana, Cuba, to Russian immigrants, Feldenkreis moved to Miami in 1961 and founded Supreme International, a company known for importing school uniforms and guayaberas, a 4-pocket tropical-inspired shirt. Supreme International went public in 1993 and became Perry Ellis International after the acquisition of that company in 1999.

Mr. Feldenkreis founded the Universal National Bank of Miami and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the University of Miami and the boards of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. He is a benefactor of numerous health, educational and social organizations. Mr. Feldenkreis has been honored by many organizations for his business achievements and civic contributions, including the Lincoln-Marti award for his role in the Cuban Refugee Program and the Man of the Year award from the American Apparel and Footwear Association. He holds an honorary Juris Doctorate from Babson College.
 

Oscar Feldenkreis

Oscar Feldenkreis, president and COO, grew up inspired by his father's entrepreneurial vision and today is second in command of one of the leading companies in men's apparel. In 1980, he joined what was then Supreme International, expanding the company's scope beyond private-label distribution. He introduced the company's first major brand, Natural Issue, and before long the company became a leading manufacturer, distributor, and marketer of branded men's sportswear.

Mr. Feldenkreis is involved in numerous local and national civic causes, including the Leadership Council of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, Israel Bonds, the Kosher Food Bank and the United Way, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. Most recently, he received the National Human Relations award from the American Jewish Committee and the 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business. He is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).

Fanny Hanono is Secretary and Treasurer of Perry Ellis International. She graduated with a degree in Political Science from George Washington University and an honorary Doctorate in International Business from Johnson & Wales University. Additionally, she oversees the company’s Human Resource, Insurance, and Import divisions.

Ms. Hanono sits on the board of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and is Chairman of the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center, where she works to enrich the lives of children through arts and athletics. She is also  active in the International Women’s Forum, juggling her career responsibilities with her extensive philanthropic endeavors – many of which are financially administered through the Feldenkreis Family Foundation.

Anita Britt, CFO, joined Perry Ellis International in March 2009 with over 15 years of experience in the apparel/retail industry, most recently with Urban Brands Inc., where she was EVP and Chief Financial Officer since 2006. At Urban Brands, she managed all areas of finance, information systems, distribution/real estate and financial operations, enhancing both the profitability and liquidity profile of the company. Prior to Urban Brands, she spent over twelve years at Jones Apparel Group, Inc., where she held multiple leadership positions, most recently as Executive Vice President of Finance.

Steve Harriman has led the company’s bottoms business for more than a decade and became the division’s president in February 2005 after delivering consistent top line growth and profitability. He oversees all bottoms product development, design, sales and sourcing.

Mr. Harriman brings extensive retail and product expertise to Perry Ellis International. His previous roles have included diverse merchandising and store line management responsibilities for Jordan Marsh and oversight of bottoms merchandising and product development for men and young men at Marshall’s. Throughout, he has been both a contributor and volunteer to local and national charities.

Cory Shade, senior vice president and general counsel since October 2006, has nearly twenty years of legal experience. Ms. Shade’s prior experience includes serving as general counsel of Firstcom Corporation (merged into AT&T Latin America) and as corporate attorney with the law firms Steel, Hector & Davis LLP (now known as Squire, Saunders & Dempsey LLP) and Kilpatric Stockton LLP.

Ms. Shade serves, or has served, on numerous boards of for-profit and not-for-profit organizations including the Student Loan Marketing Association (also known as Sallie Mae); the National Association of Corporate Directors, South Florida Chapter; and the Advisory Board of Northridge Hospital, a Tenet Healthcare facility. Additionally, she is a member and Vice-Chair of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs and Chair, Diversity Advisory Council, Broward County, Florida.
